(headquartered in Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo, CEO Shoei Yamana).
Axell and its group company ax Inc. offer AI solutions based on its independently developed high-speed AI inferencing framework “ailia SDK.” ailia SDK enables high-speed offline inferencing on edge (embedded) devices by loading models learned through learning frameworks such as PyTorch, Keras, and TensorFlow. It provides cross-platform support, allowing users to share model files and APIs on all platforms.
To date, ailia SDK has been embraced as an effective AI solution for the embedded device market, owing to its adoption in illustration/cartoon/anime creation software, video recognition for interactive AI for autonomously driving and remotely controlling automatic wheelchairs, and so forth.
“FORXAI” is an image IoT platform based on Konica Minolta’s concept of accelerating the DX (digital transformation) of society together with customers and partner companies by merging state-of-the-art IoT with AI technologies, based on the company’s expertise in imaging technologies. Axell joins FORXAI as a technology partner. By combining ailia SDK not only with Konica Minolta’s own optical devices and image-sensing technologies, but with technologies and products of other partner companies and customers in the FORXAI partnership, Axell plans to lift the value of AI solutions and contribute to social innovations that will enrich people’s lives.
